Is it just me or has the fuss around LBD’s quietened down? Regardless of what trends come and go, there will always be those classics that will stay on trend regardless. The LBD is one of them, always a staple wardrobe item; as is the crisp white shirt, trench coat, nicely fitted denim jeans, camel coat, tailored suit, smart black jacket, nude heels… the list could go on…
A LBD which caught my eye recently was one by Victoria Beckham. She has come a long way from the days of the Spice Girls (used to love them!) and now has firmly been acknowledged as a fashion name to be reckoned with. Mrs VB is known for her classic, tailored-like but at the same time, oh so feminine styles…with mentoring from the likes of the brilliant Roland Mouret…
The dress is probably my definition of the perfect LBD. If there was a fashion picture dictionary, this picture would be the selected definition for the classic LBD. What’s not to love about it?
Firstly, the feminine sweetheart neckline, the perfect length teasing the knee line (showing the right amount of leg), the flattering fitted fabric showing off all the right curves, the satin straps at the front which then connect at the back in a pretty bow-like formation and finally, that zip that goes from top to bottom making it very sexy.
This dress has the right combination of sexy, smart, feminine, and pretty. Can you tell I’m in love with it??!
